Well Wishes helps people gather short video wishes for someone they love. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and who can see it. Questions: support@wellwishes.app.
What we collect
- Videos and names that contributors submit, plus the recipient’s name, occasion and optional photo that the organizer enters.
- Email addresses, only if you choose to give one: an organizer’s email (to send their private manage link) and a contributor’s email (to send their private edit link). Optionally, the recipient’s email if the organizer asks us to send them the reveal. We never show anyone’s email to other users.
- Usage analytics (Mixpanel): pages viewed, whether recording worked, device and browser type. A sample of sessions may be recorded for debugging, with inputs masked.
- Error reports (Sentry) when something breaks.
Who can see wishes
Wells are unlisted: there is no public directory or search. Only people who hold a link can open it. Contributors can see other wishes only if the organizer turns that on. The reveal can be protected with a passcode and is hidden until the reveal date. Videos are stored at long, unguessable web addresses, so anyone you give a direct video address to can open that video.
Who processes your data
- Vercel (hosting, video storage), Supabase (database), Resend (email), Mixpanel (analytics), Sentry (errors).
- We convert videos to a standard format on our servers so they play on every phone. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
- Contributors can edit or delete their wish with their private link until the organizer locks the well.
- Organizers can hide or delete any wish and download everything from their manage page.
- To delete a well or your data entirely, see Delete my data.
Children
Well Wishes is intended for adults. Please don’t use it to collect information from children under 13 without a parent’s involvement.
